Cub Scout Related Tricks

1. The Knotty Neckerchief:

Effect: A Scout neckerchief is visibly tied in a knot. With a magical gesture, the knot vanishes!

Method: Use a false knot or a quick-release knot. Practice the handling to make the vanish smooth and deceptive.

2. The Compass Caper:

Effect: A compass is shown pointing North. The magician covers it briefly, and when revealed, the needle mysteriously points South (or any other direction).

Method: A small, hidden magnet is used to manipulate the compass needle.

Trick to Teach: The Jumping Rubber Band

Effect: A rubber band visibly jumps from the pinky and ring finger to the index and middle finger.

The specs for the show. 

1.6 foot long  x 6 foot deep from where the front of the curtain to where the audience will be seated.

2. The Abra-Ca Blue Gold show takes about and 1hr and 15 minutes to set up.

3. Electrical outlet or extension cord strip nearby for sound system.

4. Curtain must be agains a wall or space here there is no food traffic. 

5. If performing outside, please provide a canopy tent, or outside pavilion for cover.  (If performing outside, the backdrop curtain will ne ne provided do to weather and winds)
